The Belconnen Arts and Cultural Centre is the centre piece of the proposed Belconnen foreshore redevelopment and is a dramatic, eye catching addition to the Lake Ginninderra shore line

Affinity Electrical Technologies were engaged by Project Coordination for the installation of lighting, power, data and security to this iconic building on the edge of Lake Ginninderra which has been labeled as a landmark project for Arts ACT.

The Dynalite lighting control system into which the security system is integrated has been designed to control the mechanical services of the building ensuring that areas that are not in use cannot be left with lights on or mechanical services running.

The unique physical properties of the building while creating a visually astounding perspective created untold issues for cable access and mounting of end space equipment like vertically hung track lights and recessed LED lighting. These issues were dealt with by AET with the end client Arts ACT, the architect William Ross and the project managers Project Coordination always pleased and often surprised by the manner in which AET was able to overcome these issues without compromising the integrity of the design.

The project was completed with minimal fuss and to the high standards expected by Project Coordination, the architect and the end client Arts ACT. This facility is due for extension over the coming years and AETeagerly looks forward to the opportunity to again be part of this high profile, landmark experience should the opportunity arise.Bel
