Affinity Electrical Technologies (AET) were recently the successful tender for Braddon’s latest bar, Hopscotch.

The original tender was a design and construct package, however the original design was not what the clients had envisaged. Affinity redesigned the lighting and electrical package to better suit the client’s requirements and vision.

There were strict timeframes on this project with a 2 month build to be completed by the end of July. Affinity worked diligently alongside additional trades including, tilers, plumbers and carpenters to ensure a smooth flow of work and meet the July deadline.

We worked closely with all stakeholders to deliver an accurate maximum demand for all tenancies. ACTEW was then engaged to resupply the premises with sufficient power for undertaking the daily operations for the now current and future tenancies. These works included a new site main switchboard, consumer mains and ACTEW lead in conduits.

AET installed multiple VSD controllers for the rangehoods throughout the kitchen, this involved interconnection and complex control knowledge.

Custom lighting was sourced by the client and made compliant by Affinity for the Front of House operations at Hopscotch. LED lighting was installed throughout the Front of House, with 18w fluorescents installed in the bathrooms. The back of house consisted of sealed LED down lights for the kitchen and 1 x 28w T5 for the office and hallway.

A welcoming environment greets you from the moment you step inside the gate and into the beer garden adorned with fairly lights, all the way through to the inside entrance where the soft lighting greets you like along lost friend.

Next time you are in Braddon why not hop on down to Hopscotch and enjoy all they have to offer while checking out the variety of lighting and services we could be offering you next!
