KINGSTON BOARDWALK AND BOAT HARBOR

KINGSTON BOARDWALK AND BOAT HARBOR

Affinity Electrical were engaged by Manteena to supply and install lighting to the Kingston Boardwalk as part of the Kingston Foreshore Redevelopment.

The design although not difficult or challenging in itself did create some issues that AET was forced to overcome. Primarily the fact that a majority of our wiring and conduit work had to be carried out from a dingy from in the lake made this site peculiar and meant that our site safety plan and environmental plans required fine tuning to ensure they would cover all assets of working on a site that offered up difficulties of this type.

Although wiring was challenging the finished product is outstanding and although the site is not yet open to the public I believe that when it is it will become a haven for the public to while away a sunny day in a scenic setting that is unlike any other in Canberra. In close proximity to the Kingston Glass works this is likely to become an iconic location associated with the Canberra region.

KINGSTON BOAT HARBOR

As an offshoot to the Kingston Boardwalk project Manteena offered Affinity Electrical the chance to work with them again on the new Kingston Boat Harbor located inside Trevellian Quay inside of the Kingston waterfront precinct. This was an offer AET gladly accepted.
