Point Park - Street Lighting
AET were engaged to supply and install street lighting and area lighting to the Point Park Stage 2 area of works, with use of WE-Ef luminaires and poles. The expectation of this project, is to connect the City and the Lake. With the completion of stage two of the West Basin Boardwalk, Canberrans will have 500 metres of pre-cast boardwalk that is attractive, durable and complete with easy-access of all people. The 8.1-metre-wide boardwalk accommodates a wide range of users from pedestrians and recreational cyclists through to watercraft users. The redevelopment of the boardwalk and the park will allow Canberrans and visitors to better enjoy the area and will improve accessibility around West Basin. The scope of works also included the supply and installation of onsite power for use at entertainment events such as barbeques and small parties. This new electrical infrastructure with approximately 40 high quality, leading edge LED park lighting and architectural designed exterior pathway, is the Pride and Joy of Andrew Barr. AET had some specific criteria to meet with regards to the colours of poles and fittings.
These challenges coupled with the tight time frame have made this project quite challenging for AET, but we have pulled through to deliver an outstanding final product.
