Ricky Stuart House
Our MD Brendan Read ran into Manteena’s Rod Mitton at the Sellick Consultants 50th year anniversary golf day in 2015. They started discussing up and coming works, and The Ricky Stuart House project came up. It resonated with Brendan as a really worthy cause that would have a tangible impact on people’s lives.
Brendan and Rod looked at ways of saving money for the project without compromising on quality. Together with project partner Popes Electrical & Data Supplies, we were able to source wholesale products to maximise our financial contribution to the project.
While the house is beautifully light and airy, this can pose a challenge for an electrician to conceal cables. It took some creativity to hide the cabling in each room. Thankfully, we had a great electrician for the project in Mitch Bruce, who showcased his workmanship in this, his first project. Mitch was emotionally invested and took ownership of this project very seriously as his grandfather is Canberra Raiders legend John McIntyre.
The result is a world class facility for Marymead to manage into the future and a project Affinity Electrical Technologies is very proud to be associated with.
