Duncan Fields Googong oval lighting and pavilion lighting

Duncan Fields in Googong is used for football in winter and cricket in summer. The ovals required new lighting. At the same time, a pavilion was being constructed to improve amenities at the site, offering bathrooms, changerooms and a canteen. We provided lighting for the pavilion.

For the oval lighting, we were presented with the task of designing a remote, programmable system for control of the sports lighting for Duncan Fields, with the brief for it to be simple to operate, yet flexible in functionality. We worked closely with Waterland to design a system that would be compatible with the irrigation system program already proposed for the ground. The new system now allows Queanbeyan City Council to choose from eight different lighting scenarios, all possible through a single, integrated program.

Both the pavilion and sports lighting projects were under construction at the same time. Running as two separate projects, under separate builders, AET ensured both projects were completed successfully with no safety incidents.

A great result, and a happy client!
